Interpreting the QOS Exam Topics -- (or any Cisco Exam!)
The exam topics, like most exam topics listed by Cisco for other exams, use action words that follow a quasistandard called “Bloom’s Taxonomy of the Cognitive Domain.” Bloom’s taxonomy defines a standard for word usage for when educators create objectives for courses. Objectives written according to Bloom’s Taxonomy define what the learner should be able to accomplish after taking the class.
So, when you look at an exam topic, look for the action word. If you want to see a description of Bloom’s Taxonomy, search the Internet, and you will find a lot of matches. My favorite quick list of terms is at http://chiron.valdosta.edu/whuitt/col/cogsys/bloom.html
The action word in the exam topic gives you a good hint about the level of knowledge and skill you need to have before taking the exam. For instance, a course objective that uses the word “list” as the action word means that you should be able to list the features, but an action word such as “configure” means you should know all the related configuration commands, and how to use them. “Troubleshoot” might mean that you need to know what all the show and debug commands do for a particular topic. For a speicific example, under the section about Traffic Policing and Shaping, the last exam topic says “Identify the Cisco IOS commands required to configure and monitor Frame Relay adaptive CB-Shaping on Frame Relay interfaces.” So, you had better know the configuration for adaptive CBShaping, and not just the concepts.
What does Bloom’s Taxonomy mean in terms of how you study for the exam? It means that you should focus on the action words in the exam topics, and make sure you can do those things for the stated topics. In a perfect world, the exam questions would also follow the same convention. However, some questions will slip through. However, when you are trying to determine your strategy for studying, and you are choosing the topics to focus on, or the basic topics, you should definitely interpret the meaning of the exam topics.
In addition, Cisco states that the posted exam topics for all its certification exams are guidelines. Cisco makes the effort to store their questions in an exam databases within the confines of the stated exam objectives, but doing this for every question and every exam is difficult. Thus, you could see questions that both fall outside the scope, and the depth, implied by the exam topics. However, if you follow the Cisco exam topic “guidelines,” you should have a good understanding of the breadth and depth of topics on the exam.

Để thi chứng chỉ composite 642-892 , bạn cần nắm chắc rằng mình sẽ thi được cả 2 môn BSCI và BCMSN . Còn tài liệu ôn thi thì hầu như không có gì là chắc chắn cả. Chứng chỉ composite còn cho mình biết được khả năng ghi nhớ + ôn tập + học tập 2 module quan trọng và ứng dụng nhiều nhất trong CCNP.

Lệ phí thi là 225 $ ít hơn 2 môn cộng lại là 75$. Số câu hỏi có thể nhiều hơn số câu thi BSCI hay BCMSN một chút , và thường có 2 câu LAB.

Cert là một chuyện phải làm nhưng để xứng đáng với cert ta phải cố gắng làm nhiều hơn thế !!!

Exam Description

The Composite exam (642-892) is the quickest way for currently certified Cisco Certified Network Professionals (CCNP®) and Cisco Certified Design Professionals (CCDP®) to obtain recertification. The exam tests skills and knowledge pertaining to the Building Scalable Cisco Internetworks (BSCI) and Building Cisco Managed Switched Networks (BCMSN) courses. Composite may be taken to recertify CCNP and CCDP certifications; it may also be taken in place of the BSCI and BCMSN exams required for CCNP and CCDP certifications. Candidates must successfully pass both routing and switching subsections of the Composite exam to successfully pass the exam.

Exam Topics

The following information provides general guidelines for the content likely to be included on the exam. However, other related topics may also appear on any specific delivery of the exam. Implement EIGRP operations

• Explain the functions and operations of EIGRP (e.g., DUAL)

Với mỗi module thi bạn sẽ được 1 bằng chứng nhận nếu đạt yêu cầu 700/1000. Khi hoàn thành xong 4 module bạn sẽ được cisco công nhận đã đạt trình độ CCNP. Vấn đề thủ tục vui lòng liên hệ với phòng khảo thí nơi bạn đã thi

Ý bạn nói đây là pass cái exam đó hả? Mình đỉnh đang ki ở pearsonvue.com để thi thử. Không nhất thiết phải lầy lơp đúng không ? Thanks

Vẫn chưa hiểu ý bạn !!!
Để đạt được chứng chỉ chứng nhân đã hoàn thành 1 module CCNP thì bạn cần đạt 700/1000 điểm khi tham gia thi tại Person VUE. Vấn đề thi thử thì mình chưa nghe nói ??? bạn có thể nói rỏ hơn không ???

Ok, mình hiểu ý bạn rồi. Ờ pearson Vue đâu có cho thi thử, ý mình nói là mình định đăng kí thi ở pearson vue coi khả năng mình nhu thế nào đó mà. :)

Môn Composite đã tăng lên 300$. Do đó thi lẻ từng môn hay thi composite thì cũng giống nhau về lệ phí thi. Nếu vậy thì các bạn nên thi lẻ từng môn để có nhiều kinh nghiệm thi cử.
